Life Is Funny . . .

We set out to donate some of our award-winning Alphabotz® Superphonic Decoder Cards to our local Children's Hospital and ended up designing them a simple little product called Scratch-N-Color Wait-Time Playbooks™. As it turned out, hospitals and medical facilities everywhere were searching for a simple product like ours. Playbooks are now setting a new standard for waiting room activities in the healthcare industry.
 
Along with our awesome family of customers, we have been able to provide a little bit of comfort to countless children and their families in medical facilities all over the U.S. and Canada. Building a business from scratch (-n-color) is hard, but stories of the kids we have helped and feedback from their families are what keep us going, because we know that we are contributing a little bit of happy to this world one playbook at a time.

Our Product

What Innovators are Doing . . .

Scratch-N-Color Wait-Time Playbooks™ are mess-free activity booklets for children who are waiting in emergency rooms, doctors' offices, exam rooms, urgent cares, treatment facilities, hospital playrooms, or any medical or clinical waiting area.
 
They are full of games, puzzles, hidden pictures, coloring, and more, and are a wonderful alternative to traditional coloring books because they require no crayons or markers, and leave no flaky residue. Playbooks are printed with a special invisible ink that can only be developed by scratching the paper. Each playbook comes shrink wrapped with a wooden or plastic stylus that the kids can use to scratch the paper and watch the colors and images magically appear.
 
With no crayons or markers, and no flaky residue, they are completely mess free. They have been very popular with children of all ages (and even some adults), and are very reasonably priced. In addition, because they are individually distributed, the need for sharing toys or books in the waiting room is eliminated, and the spread of infectious disease greatly reduced.
